いつも皆様ありがとうございます。
この度、私山口学は個人名『MANABU YAMAGUCHI ART CRAFT（山口学）』として活動することにしました。
今までは長いこと工房名『STUDIO WOKINI（スタジオウォキニ）』としてやって参りましたが、ここ４、５年位前から個人名で活動してみたいと思い始めていました・・・。
歳も５０歳を超えて改めてそんな思いになり、WEBサイトを新たに立ち上げるのと同時に活動名も個人名に変えてやっていく事にしました。
今まで通りシルバーや革を使い物作りをして行きますが、その中でも特に一点物に力を入れて行きたいと思います。
私は個人的に同じ物を何個も作る事、同じ型を長年に渡り作り続けることに少し疑問を感じていました・・・。
それよりも一つ一つが少しづつでも違った形、表情を持ち、またその時々の私の考え、好みが投影された物作りがしてみたい・・・。
また、『一期一会』という言葉がありますが、出来上がった物が作者とご使用者様との間でもそのような関係であれば良いな・・・と思っています。
今までよりより一層に自由な感性で、私自身も作ることを楽しみながらもまたより真剣に向き合っていこうと思っていますので、どうぞよろしくお願い致します。

I, Manabu Yamaguchi, have decided to work under my own name, "MANABU YAMAGUCHI ART CRAFT (Manabu Yamaguchi)".
I have been working under the studio name "STUDIO WOKINI" for a long time, but for the past 4 or 5 years, I have been thinking about working under my own name....
I decided to change the name of my activities to my personal name at the same time as launching the website.
I will continue to make products using silver and leather as I have in the past, but I would like to focus especially on one-of-a-kind items.
I have always been a little skeptical about making the same thing over and over again, and about continuing to make the same mold for many years....
I would rather make something that has a slightly different shape and expression, and that reflects my ideas and preferences at any given time.
I like the Japanese old saying 「ichigoichie」which means 「once-in-a-lifetime encounter」.
I also hope that the relationship between the artist and the user will be like that.
I am going to enjoy creating with a freer sensibility than ever before, and at the same time, I am going to take it more seriously.
